hard work = meal out

An afternoon on the allotment making new beds for Jacobs strawberries and chocolate mint was very hard work indeed. But the sun was shining and we were later rewarded with a meal out with our very lovely friends and life is good.

What a grafter!

We were so busy that I didn't manage to take many photos

but

Job done the wellies are resigned to the boot of the car

We did remember to pick some plums for our two neighbours who chatted to us as we were packing up the car to go to the allotments.

Whilst tending to our plot we were asked if we would like to pick some sweet pea flowers - lovely!

And a meal out at

The Fat Loaf in Ashton on Mersey, try it out it has some great meals at very good prices, lovely atmosphere (made better by eating out with our fantastic friends) and very nice decor too.

Another good day and very productive x

OH, almost forgot, tomorrow a recipe for a very old favourite of mine

PEPPERMINT CREAMS
made with icing sugar that has had chocolate mint leaves sat in it for days - can't wait to eat them!

 and

AN INVITE TO FRIENDS TO COME PICK OUR PLUMS
before they all drop off and go to waste

See you tomorrow
